About Kort
Quiet Counsel for
Complex Matters.
Who
we are
About Kort
Kort is a boutique law firm advising under Lebanese civil law and English common law, from Beirut and London. We act for banks, companies, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals across corporate, banking, real estate, commercial, litigation, and arbitration matters.
The model is built on senior attention on every file, fewer layers, and clearer decisions. Every matter is led by the founding partner, supported by a team of experienced lawyers, from the first conversation to the last.
The principles behind the firm are simple: rigorous advice, direct access to senior counsel, discretion, and long-standing client relationships.
We act for banks and financial institutions, family offices and private wealth, corporates and investors, and clients in energy, infrastructure, real estate, and construction.
What guides
us forward
Mission
To give institutional and private clients clear, decisive legal counsel across Lebanon and the region, without unnecessary complexity, layers, or cost.
Vision
To become the reference boutique firm for clients operating across Lebanon, the Gulf, and London, with a deliberate presence in all three markets.
How we
work
What You Can Expect
- Partner-led, always
- Every matter is led by the founding partner. You are never handed down to someone you have not met.
- Both systems, one file
- Lebanese and English law are handled together, so a cross-border question gets one coherent answer, not two separate opinions.
- Discretion by default
- We never name clients or matters in our marketing, and information is shared strictly on a need-to-know basis.
Hassan Khalil is the founder of Kort, advising clients on corporate, energy, banking and finance, litigation, arbitration, and sanctions matters.
